Balance, defense keying strikers (2008/10/12)
West Salem High School’s boys soccer team fell just short of two of its top goals a year ago, finishing a late upset loss to Central shy of a Mississippi Valley Conference championship, and falling in a Division 2 sectional final. With added scoring punch, and strong and play in the midfield and at goalkeeper, the Panthers seem to have the pieces in place to make a run toward returning to and winning a sectional this fall.

West Salem - Luther VB round two Tuesday (2008/10/12)
Round two in the battle between the Coulee Conference’s top two volleyball teams, West Salem and Luther, will take place Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Luther’s Association Center.

A young Bangor girls cross country team continued to improve this season as they tied for fourth with Blair-Taylor at the 16th annual Cashton Invitational with 94 points.
