BANGOR — W. John Ciganek, 66, of Bangor died Saturday, June 27, 2009.

He was born in Milwaukee on July 29, 1942, to Wendell and Marcella (Grutza) Ciganek.

He is survived by a son, Jon W.; three daughters, Tammy, Denise and Alana; a granddaughter, Lilly; and a sister, Marcy Karpinski.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per his request, there will be no services.

Dickinson Family Funeral Home is assisting the family.

ST. JOSEPH RIDGE — Delores A. Bahr, 82, of St. Joseph Ridge died Friday, June 26, 2009, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.

She was born in Galesville, Sept. 28, 1926, to Roger and Hazel (Dettinger) Craig and was a graduate of La Crosse Central High School. She married Clarence Bahr on July 17, 1951, at Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman in La Crosse, and together they farmed on St. Joseph Ridge for over 50 years.

Delores was a kind and gentle person who was a wonderful homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was well-known throughout the area for her lefse making. She also enjoyed dancing at Concordia Ballroom in La Crosse, where she and Clarence met many years ago.

Delores is survived by her husband, Clarence; three sons, Duane (Lisa) Bahr of West Salem, Dan Bahr of St. Joseph Ridge and Jim Bahr of La Crosse; one daughter, Jane (Ron) Miller of La Crosse; a daughter-in-law, Joan Woods of Mansfield, Ohio; five grandchildren, Tina (Chad) Doering, Christopher (Laura) Bahr, Heidi (Julio) Bird and Ben and Mark Miller; five great-grandchildren, Isabella Doering, Mya and Cali Cay Bahr and Natalie and Syriana Bird; four step-grandchildren, Amber (Matthew) Fierro and Dalton, Sarah and Garrett Dow; and one step-great-grandchild, Serenity Fierro; two brothers, Winfred (Alice) Craig of Ettrick and Donnie (Kathy) Craig of La Crosse; a brother-in-law, Merlin Eggen of La Crosse; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Hurtz of Middle Ridge and Shirley Craig of La Crosse; and many nieces and nephews and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Don Bahr; twin infant daughters; two brothers, Clayton and Wilfred Craig; one sister, Meryl Eggen; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mildred and Raymond Morehouse.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph Ridge. The Rev. Lawrence B. Berger will officiate. Entombment will take place in St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum in Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the church. Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is assisting the family with arrangements.
