William ‘Bill’ Raymond Boldon

WEST SALEM/ WONEWOC — William “Bill” Raymond Boldon, 42, of West Salem and formerly of Wonewoc died in his home Wednesday, May 6, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Oct. 11, 1966, in Hillsboro, the son of William and Bonnie (Henry) Boldon. He married Dawn Luther Oct. 12, 1996, at Holy Family Catholic Church in LaValle, Wis. He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy, and his grandparents.

William worked for many years with city municipalities, most recently as a water operator for the state of Wisconsin at Volk Field. Bill was a lover of life and people, and he could make friends wherever he went. His sense of humor and practical jokes made us smile. He was a unique and unforgettable individual. Bill loved to ride Harleys, go camping at Jellystone and country line dance. Bill was a graduate of Wonewoc Center High School and was a member of Knights of Columbus. His life on earth was short, but filled with many happy memories of carefree living.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn; one son, William “Will-Bob” Boldon; his parents, William and Bonnie Boldon; three sisters, Teresa Boldon, Pamela Boldon and Margaret (Richard) Ratner; and three brothers, Allen Boldon, Patrick Boldon and James Boldon.

He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and several wonderful friends.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be at 11 a.m. today in The Holy Family Catholic Church, La Valle, with the Rev. Lorin Bowens officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Reedsburg, Wis. Thompson Funeral Home, Wonewoc, is assisting the family.
