Red Cross plans Bangor blood drive

The American Red Cross will be in Bangor for a community blood drive on Wednesday, Jan. 14.

The blood drive will be held at the Bangor High School cafetorium from 1:30 to 6 p.m., with a goal of collecting 60 units. All healthy people weighing 110 pounds or more are invited to become donors. People may donate as young as 16 with signed parental permission forms, available in the high school office.

Prospective donors are encouraged to eat a good lunch and drink plenty of fluids before donating. To register, donors are reminded to bring a picture ID card and a Red Cross donor card. For new donors, two forms of identification are needed.
