The La Crosse County 4-H Music and Arts & Crafts Festival was held Dec. 6 at Holmen Middle School.

Two musical groups were given special merit awards and selected to represent La Crosse County at the six-county Area Festival of Arts on March 14 in Black River Falls. Groups selected included parent-directed Country Lanes 4-H of Bangor and Union Mills 4-H of Holmen, directed by Amy Sacia and Mary Sacia.

The Country Lanes club performed songs based on the theme “we’re all in this together”. Union Mills 4-H presented songs under the theme of “America’s 4-H has talent.”

The judge for the festival was Joan Solie of Onalaska. The music festival is one of three annual performing arts events of the La Crosse County 4-H Program.
