94th Assembly debate set for Tuesday

The River Valley Newspaper Group will help sponsor a 94th Assembly District debate Tuesday night. The debate is at 7 p.m. at the Heider Center at West Salem High School.

It will feature incumbent Mike Huebsch, R-West Salem, and challenger Cheryl Hancock, D-Holmen. The debate will be moderated by Coulee News Publisher Chris Hardie, with assistance from West Salem High School students.

Huebsch has held the seat since 1994 and serves as Assembly speaker.

Hancock, a 12-year member of the Holmen School Board, is the executive director of American Red Cross Scenic Bluffs Chapter.
