It’s a pretty good bet that Halloween is Morgan Von Buskirk’s favorite holiday, judging from the energy and passion he puts into the Onalaska Area Jaycee’s Haunted House.
The house launches its annual run this weekend, and Buskirk was busy last weekend attending to final preparations. “We’ve got a bunch of new rooms and new ideas,” he said. “I don’t want to give too much away.”
The Haunted House will have scare sessions on Oct. 10-11, 17-18, 24-25 and, of course, Halloween on Oct. 31.
The ticket booth opens at 6:30 p.m. and the house opens at 7, with anybody in line at 10 p.m. getting a chance to go through.
Toned-down scares will be offered for kids on Oct. 18 and 25 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The Jaycees Haunted House can be found at Clearwater Farm, 760 Green Coulee Road, Onalaska.
