West Salem High School’s Homecoming week will feature a Survivor theme next week.

Dress-up days are planned every day, starting with Monday’s Ghetto Day, when students can dress up in hip/hop or gangster wear.

Tuesday is Retro Day. Students can wear clothes from the ’50s through the ’80s. Wednesday is Paris Day, when students can wear prom dresses, suits, and berets.

Thursday is Safari Day. Students are encouraged to wear jungle, camouflage or hunting gear. Friday is the traditional orange and black day.

As always, during the week, there will be hall decorating, window painting, a skit performance and float building done by all four classes. At the end of the week, everything will be judged and a winner will be announced.

The students will have their school spirit on display for all to see at the annual Homecoming parade, which starts at 2:15 p.m. Friday.

The parade will run south on Leonard Street from the Mulder Health Care Facility to West Salem Village Hall.

In addition to the Homecoming parade, the marching band also will perform at both Oktoberfest parades.
