Published - Saturday, September 13, 2008 UPDATE: Woman injured in bus, car collision TOWN OF BURNS -- A rural Bangor woman was airlifted with serious injuries after her vehicle was struck by a Bangor school bus this afternoon on Highway DE about 2.5 miles north of Highway 16. A Pontiac Aztek driven by Heather Sebranek, 33, was pulling onto the highway at N6322 Hwy. DE at about 3:48 p.m. when it was struck broadside by the bus, which was northbound on Highway DE, according to the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department. Members of the Bangor-Burns Fire Department cut off the driver’s side door to extract the woman from the vehicle. Sebranek, who was pregnant, was flown by MedLink helicopter to a La Crosse hospital. She was listed in critical condition on Thursday evening. The bus driver, Larry Langrehr, and the six children he was transporting were not injured. Langrehr is a 22-year veteran school bus driver. Officers still were investigating at the crash scene.
