The West Salem School District parents can now add money to their school meal account online through the Skyward Family Access parent portal they currently use.
Parents can now add money to their student’s lunch account while sitting at their computer from home or work at any time of the day. If the account balance is low, it only takes a few minutes to add money to the meal account using a debit or credit card.
Once the parent has determined how much they want to deposit into their meal account in Skyward Family Access, the payment is then processed by the company PayOurSchool.com. When the transaction is approved, the money will appear in the food service account in Family Access when the student goes through the lunch line.
The new payment option is meant to make things more convenient for parents and more efficient for the school district.
