The West Salem Alumni & Friends Golf Outing committee would like to thank everyone who participated in our second annual WSHS Alumni & Friends Golf Outing on Aug. 2 at Fox Hollow Golf Course to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of West Salem Area.

Thanks to all who attended the event, as well as the over 120 area businesses and residents who donated, we raised $5,300, of which $4,800 will go into an endowment fund to help in sustaining the future operations of the club, plus this year we will also be donating $500 to a 2009 West Salem High School senior, with the recipient to be determined by the WSHS guidance department next spring.

We’d also like to thank the many volunteers who helped make this fundraiser a success. This event would not be possible without the support of the community.

The third annual WSHS Alumni & Friends Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009, so please mark your calendar for next year to attend this great event to benefit our area youth. Everyone is welcome!
