.
I was pleased to hear that Tara Johnson was running for the state Senate in District 32. In her eight years on the La Crosse County Board, she has been a leader and innovator, especially in the area of health and human services. Because of her hard work, frail and elderly adults will have wrap-around services from one place.

Tara asks questions. She does not accept the answer “because that is the way we have always done it.” She looks for innovative and creative ways to solve problems.

Instead of flitting around the edges of the health care problem, she will tackle this very difficult problem and work to bring quality, affordable health care to the people of western Wisconsin.

I am looking forward to voting for Tara Johnson and for new leadership on Nov. 4, and I hope that everyone in the area will consider doing the same. Tara is someone we can be proud of.

" Tara Johnson - Padesky recently made a statement the "there wasn't a "D" behind her name until she ran for Senate."

This is an outright LIE.

" Yesterday, Tara Johnson - Padesky (candidate for state senate) voted a resounding YES in support of housing felons in this neighborhood.

It is important to notice, it ISN'T her neighborhood, and it is a sexist (women only) policy.

It is important to notice Johnson's resounding support (ignoring her potential constituents).

This action alone shows she is NOT ready to be senator and represent ALL of us.

" Article 1, Section 25: states we have the right to bear arms.

Article 13, Section 13: defines marriage.

Tara Johnson DOES NOT support these parts of our state constitution. "

" On August 5, 2008 I received a call from an organization calling itself "Forward Strategies." The phone number from my caller-ID is: 608-467-0296. They claimed to be conducting an independent political survey.

They asked a few basic questions, and then proceeded to ask if I agreed with a series of negative comments about Senator Kapanke. I specifically asked if this was a push poll, and was informed "no." After the pollster finished with the negative comments about Kapanke, he switched to positive comments about Johnson.

A poll skewed against one candidate and towards another is a push poll. Tara Johnson and her supporters would have you believe she is above this kind of dirty politics, but the truth is she is running a very muddy campaign and should be ashamed of herself. "

" suggests that you get what you pay for...maybe the district does have higher taxes. But they also have one of the best schools in the state. Also, the GOP would be wise to add a phrase other than huh uh no tax bad no to their talking points, because we have bigger fish to fry. Try a bigger vocabulary word with more than three letters such as: national security, human rights, constitution or perhaps economy. "

Ms. Schultz couldnt be more WRONG wrote on Aug 5, 2008 7:22 AM:

" In her eight years on the board, she has voted for HIGHER taxes EVERY YEAR.

How does Tara Johnson-Padesky intent to pay for all these "programs?" You guessed it, higher taxes.

Visit http://johnsonwatch08.blogspot.com/ and get ALL the facts. "
