WEST SALEM — Ashley M. McCoy
Ashley M. McCoy, 17, of West Salem, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Friday, July 25, 2008.
She was born Oct. 16, 1990, in La Crosse to Douglas and Tina (Servais) McCoy. Ashley was a 2008 graduate of West Salem High School. She was currently employed at Bethany-Riverside Nursing Facility in La Crosse as a certified nursing assistant.
Ashley was wonderful caregiver and was looking forward to attending Virterbo University this fall to pursue a nursing career. She loved animals and flowers, especially daffodils.
Ashley was a fun-loving girl who will be remembered for her smile. She was taken from us too soon and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her parents, Doug and Tina of West Salem; her maternal grandparents, Donald and Marie Servais of La Crosse; her paternal grandparents, Doug McCoy and Carolyn Lunsford of Woodbridge, Va., and Christine Meisenheimer and William George of West Salem; her paternal great-grandmother, Joan McCoy of Sparta; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and her beloved pets, Cooper, Bailey, Puff, Duke, Sassy and Ginger.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, at Jostad-Jandt Funeral Home, 121 N. Youlon Street, West Salem, beginning at 4 p.m. and concluding with a Time of Sharing at 7:30 p.m. Ashley's parents request that family and friends participate in the Time of Sharing by bringing in a story or poem to be shared in Ashley's memory.

WEST SALEM — Leatrice C. Marten, 80, of West Salem died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Onalaska Care Center, Onalaska, Wis. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Jostad-Jandt Funeral Home, West Salem.
Jeffrey P. Abbs
TOMAH, Wis. — Jeffrey P. Abbs, 48, of Tomah died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at his home. He was born Oct. 15, 1959, to Raymond and Mary (Fuerstenberg) Abbs in Tomah. He was united in marriage to Michelle Norman in 1979. He was a member of the Stoughton High School graduating class of 1978. Jeff enjoyed the outdoors and especially deer hunting. He was an avid Packers and NASCAR fan. His true passion in life was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted Papa and took great pride in teaching them their ABCs and 123s.
He is survived by a daughter, Kim Abbs (friend John Davis) of Tomah; a son, Brian Abbs (Nicole Neumann) of West Salem, Wis.; 12 grandchildren, Breanna, Keira, Triton, Maura, Tanner, McKenna, Cody, Becca, Jacob, Brandon, Wyatt and soon-to-be baby Abbs; his mother, Mary of Tomah; a sister, Pamela Zimmerman-Waters of Tomah; a foster sister, Rhonda Presnoll of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; an aunt, Helen (Ray) Salzman of Warrens, Wis.; three uncles, Jerry (Sharon) Fuerstenberg of Millston,Wis., Bill (Carolyn) Fuerstenberg of Janensville, Wis., and Richard (Audrey) Abbs of Tomah; a special niece and nephew, Nikki and Richard VanHoof; other nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray in 1985; and a brother, Lester in 1976.
A Christian Prayer Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah. The Very Rev. Steven J. Kachel will officiate. A private family burial will be held.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home.
