West Salem police reports

For the week of June 20-27, the West Salem Police Department wrote seven traffic citations, wrote three municipal citations, issued seven warnings, wrote two parking tickets and responded to one accident. The following is a selection of incidents.

Saturday, June 21

7 p.m. — A 42-year-old West Salem man and a 52-year-old West Salem man were cited for disorderly conduct after the two got into an altercation on the 100 block of Leonard Street.

9 p.m. — A 31-year-old Tomah woman was cited for violating a red traffic signal.

Wednesday, June 25

2:23 a.m. — A 37-year-old West Salem woman was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Friday, June 27

11:35 p.m. — A 35-year-old West Salem man reported his 1998 Chevrolet Lumina was stolen from a parking lot on the 1200 block of Branding Iron Road. The vehicle was reportedly unlocked with keys on the car seat. The vehicle is valued at $2,500 and there was also a $300 stereo installed.
