The following log is based on reports from the West Salem and Bangor police departments.
West Salem
For the week of June 6-13, the West Salem Police Department wrote nine traffic citations, wrote four municipal citations, issued eight warnings and responded to three accidents. The following is a selection of incidents.
Sunday, June 8
7:01 p.m. — A 77-year-old West Salem woman reported that $600 in cash was missing from her residence on the 800 block of West Avenue N. The money was later found in a laundry basket.
Monday, June 9
4:50 a.m. — A 50-year-old West Salem man was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after he reportedly drove his vehicle into a garage on the 500 block of E. Tilson Street. The man was apparently upset that his ex-wife had a friend over.
Wednesday, June 11
8 a.m. — A 21-year-old West Salem woman was reportedly bitten on the left ankle by a schnauzer while walking on the 300 block of N. Leonard Street. The dog was on leash but had gotten away from its owner, a 44-year-old West Salem woman.
Friday, June 13
9 a.m. — A 17-year-old West Salem boy was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after reportedly breaking a microwave at his home on the 1000 block of Harter Court.
Bangor
From June 9-16, the Bangor Police Department made 13 traffic stops and assisted other agencies eight times. In addition, the department reported the following incidents.
Monday, June 9
3:15 a.m. — Officer called to address on the 2100 block of Henry Johns Boulevard, where a juvenile female was bitten by a dog.
11 p.m. — A traffic stop on the 1400 block of Commercial Street led to the arrest of a 21-year-old male for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tuesday, June 10
6:30 p.m. — A set of keys was found on the 1700 block of Pearl Street.
Wednesday, June 11
8:40a.m. — A fire alarm went off at a Commercial Street address in Rockland. A check revealed no fire.
Thursday, June 12
7:30 p.m — A welfare check for a woman was conducted on the 600 block of 16th Avenue North. Officer unable to locate the individual in question.
