And what about our crop land that is increasingly being used for corn to fuel the irrational ethanol craze instead of growing FOOD for 300 million Americans being forced by a authoritarian/totalitarian state into vegetarianism?

" In the book, The World Peace Diet,by Will Tuttle, the chapter on Sowing and Reaping, draws stark parallels between what we do to animals and what happens in the human social order(if you call what is happening out there, order). We have inherited the cruelest, most desensitizing diet, that not only kills 60 billion so called farmed animals globally, annually, but puts humans in hospitals for organ failure and all the preventable degenerative diseases(NOT GENETIC)humans have eaten themselves to.
Upton Sinclair wrote long ago(author of The Jungle)"If they,(the commerical broadcasters)are allowed to continue, we will have the most debased society in the world." Discerning ears and eyes can see that the media, radio and tv, are used explicitly to sell meat, dairy, processed foods, and pharmaceuticals. Even in "programs" and kids shows, burgers, dogs, ice cream, milk, meat, constantly being shown, eaten, and shows usually include scenes at dining room tables where milk and meat are being consumed. We've been HAD. We have been marketed, literally, to death. The same death that occurs from eating dead food, is happening to our earth. Bees, bats, amphibians....all perishing because of human behaviors.
It's shocking to hear claims that this nation protects children, or desires to be "pro-life," while it systemtically, because of animal agribusiness chemicals, fossil fuels, GM crops, is poisoning the unborn, and the earth for future generations.
The issue of diet is woven into every fabric of society. Our "culinary art," has become a thing of disgrace and ugliness, and our "comfort food," is most hideous to the animals enduring torture every day.
For the so called "intelligent" species, humans are proving that the animals are our teachers, NOT products or commodities. They are as close to Divine as possible. It is we, humans, who are living unnaturally and out of place because of what we do to animals.
Vegan, in my view, is the essence of every religious aspiration.
