The Julia Belle Swain Steamboat and Louise Keenan’s Heart Song Center will be hosting former Green Bay Packers LeRoy Butler, Gilbert Brown, Santana Dotson and William Henderson on two cruises aboard the Julia Belle Swain on Oct. 4 at 3 and 5:30 p.m. in an effort to raise funds for the LeRoy Butler Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Foundation raises funds specifically to help patients going through breast cancer treatment to obtain assistance so they can focus on the job of healing instead of the financial impact to their families. The foundation has partnered with Gundersen Lutheran’s Norma J. Vinger Center for Breast Care and will work closely with them in activities of hope and celebration.

Information and tickets for cruises with the Packers are now available at the Julia Belle office at 227 Main St. or by calling (608) 784-4882 or (800) 815-1005.

Volunteers are needed to assist with functions before and after the cruise, which include a football camp and a motivational seminar at Aquinas High School, photo sessions, a silent auction and events in Riverside Park.

“We are hoping for community involvement in raising funds for LeRoy and his foundation, thereby making us teammates in the breast cancer struggle,” Keenan said.
