On behalf of the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station, I would like to thank the Bangor Rod and Gun Club and 38 other conservation clubs and communities throughout Wisconsin, for helping us offer nearly $26,303 in summer camp scholarships to young people from every corner of our state.
Through our summer camps, youth age 6 to 17 developed new outdoor skills, confidence and social skills. High school students who came to our Natural Resource Careers Camp explored careers in forestry, fisheries, wildland fire fighting, law enforcement, the Wisconsin State Park System, waters, land-use planning, international resource management and environmental education through guest speakers, field trips and hands on activities.
Support by organizations such as the Bangor Rod and Gun Club help to make these kinds of positive learning and growing experiences happen.
